[Resolved] Feature Images being displayed differently?!?

Aloha team 🙂

I have a featured image in place for each page on my site.

The featured image is 1920 x 600 … I use them as full-width heroes.

Here’s what I don’t understand …

In the search results, and under the page editing interface, sometimes I get a square version of the featured image, and sometimes it’s shown honoring the true aspect ratio.

Here is an image of what I see.

I’m baffled! any thoughts?

I suspect it might be thumbnails processed before and after the following checkbox was unchecked:

Settings >> Media >> Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)

I’m going to regenerate thumbnails – just waiting for another process to complete.

Aloha Ying – I fixed it 🙂

Thumbnail sizes varied based on when they were uploaded (ie. before or after the setting noted above).

I reoptimized the images with a different plugin and that seems to have done the trick!!

Thumbnails now all match 🙂
