[Resolved] favicon issue

I created a favicon.ico file and uploaded it to the root directory of my site. However it does not show up in the browser tab. Is there a better way of adding a favicon to a GP site?
Edit: After quite a delay, the favicon finally did show up.

Favicons are cached quite heavily, so it takes a little time sometimes 🙂

So I placed a favicon.ico in the root directory of one site, and after a while it showed up. Then I placed another favicon in the root directory of another site. After waiting for over 10 hours, it is still not showing up. I imagine that the caching wouldn’t take several hours? Is there something I can do to make the favicon show up? The site where I can’t get it to show is https://www.shamakern.com.

That’s strange. You could try uploading it as your site icon in Customize > Site Identity instead.

I have favicon problem too. But my website is with 3 languages. Site with default language dont have a favicon in Home page. On other pages favicon shows and on another 2 languages. Only in default language Home page.
