I just ran a scan and it showed ~/favicon dot ico as a 404. I can see that favicon on the site, so I am at a loss to know why it shows a 404?

I can see the favicon as well.
Any chance you’ve tried disabling all plugins to eliminate any conflicts?
Could be a caching issue.
What if you try reuploading the site icon in the customizer?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-header-logo/I did that, and still no-go. So I uploaded a favicon to the root and that solved it.
