    Hi All,

For those running Windows 10 >= V1607, you can opt-in to have the MAX_PATH limit removed from WIN32 directories and file functions.[1]

You could do this either by manually editting the Registry Key “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem LongPathsEnabled (Type: REG_DWORD)”

    Or

The “Group Policy” in “Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Filesystem -> Enable NTFS long paths.

Don’t forget to reboot your computer after this change.**

Might be handy for those of you on Win10 who have WP plugin updates delivered by other methods then EDD.

**Disclaimer: I am on a different -according to some people “overpriced”- operating system, so I haven’t tested this myself.

Hope to have been of help.

Wanted to confirm that the Windows-Compatibility-Fix plugin solves the GP Premium plugin update problems under Windows.

    Highly recommended. 🙂
