Fade animation on scroll up (Sticky Navigation)

Hi,
I'm relatively new to this theme but I have noticed one strange issue on > Customizing > Layout > Sticky Navigation. I have set the sticky nav on and checked the box Hide when scrolling down. I also want a fade transition, so when you scroll up the sticky nav fades in. However on scrolling up, the nav menu slides instead of fades. Don't know if I missed something here?

the Fade In animation only applies when scrolling down - so it won't work when you hide on scrolling down.
Thanks for this swift response. No problem. Would there be anyway for example to apply a slow fade out on the sticky Nav once the scroll bar reaches 0? Currently it just disappears.
Would this be a css class rule in the auto-hide-sticky?
Alternatively would I be able to add this code say into the theme's child functions file?

Unfortunately that will require a custom solution currently.
We are hoping to re-write how the sticky navigation works in the near future and will consider adding this in.
