Hi, I’ve tried multiple different widgets and even the Facebook developers HTML code to have my like page appear in the side bar of my blog but every time nothing shows in the space. I was told that this is a theme issue and to contact the developers. What do I need to do to get my Facebook page to appear on the side bar of my blog? I have tried HTML and text widget and used the FB developers code and I get a blank space. I just tried Jetpack for WP and the same thing. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

September 1, 2017 at 7:39 am #377371JoeI’ve also tried these two plugins that were recommended by GP support on another feed similar to my problem. Neither of those plugins works as well.

Make sure the code you’re pasting into your widget goes into the HTML Code widget – not the Text widget.
The theme itself doesn’t have any say over the content you add into your widgets – it just displays as is.
Let me know 🙂
September 1, 2017 at 12:03 pm #377526JoeI’ve done that as I stated and it still is blank and I get nothing.

If you right click “Inspect” in Chrome, are there any red errors in the Console tab?
September 2, 2017 at 7:26 am #377849JoeThis is what it says with just the regular HTML widget and I used the code from Facebook.

September 3, 2017 at 6:16 am #378256JoeI have W3 Total Cache plugin and I don’t know what a minifying plugin is.

September 3, 2017 at 6:19 am #378257JoeI deactivated the plugin and still getting an error. I used just the HTML widget and the FB developers code. This is what I got.

at iframeCookieHandler (getTrackingCode:176)September 3, 2017 at 9:46 am #378375TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperDid you clear your W3 cache before deactivating it?
I’m not familiar with these errors unfortunately, as they don’t relate to GP. Does it work if you use Twenty Seventeen as your theme temporarily?
September 4, 2017 at 12:04 pm #379059JoeHow do you clear the cashe?
And no, it doesn’t work with the 2017 theme either.
September 4, 2017 at 12:49 pm #379070LeoStaffCustomer SupportThere should be a clear cache option within the plugin setting.
However if it doesn’t work with 2017 theme either then you should check with the plugin author.
