Hi there, upon searching for good tutorials to help me to construct a site from scratch including BLOG and static pages I only came across this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhltwjuiEk4
It gave me a more comprising insight and understanding about what I need to know than any other tutorial I´ve seen so far and left me wishing that you could come up with something like that but of course using GENERATEPRESS and GENERATEBLOCKS instead of Astra, Elementor, Starter Templates and Unlimited Elements. I mean, the part about how to register with WP, looking for a host and where to get free pictures I really don´t care about, but the integration of posts and the customization part really gave me some broader understanding, although like I said I need to get that for GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks. I was really startled by your tutorials regarding dynamic content because they seem to start at the top and not at the beginners level, just saying “then choose POST META, POST AUTHOR, POST CONTENT, etc. …” and the likes…. Yeah, sure, but… Where does it reference to???? Where do these POST *** data come from? I still don´t get that…

Do I really need this UNLIMITED ELEMENTS or any other plugin to be able to actually put the POSTS on the static BLOG-page. Isn´t it possible to create a blog page with GENERATEBLOCKS that automatically includes and links to the posts?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Do I really need this UNLIMITED ELEMENTS…
No.
Before i give some guidance, do you have a site already set up that has some posts already added to it ?

Hi David, no I haven´t. Wouldn´t know how to set it up. I am a total beginner concerning dynamic data and stuff (and even terms) like “current post” vs. “post type”, list of terms”, author meta”, “single post”, “comments area”, “post meta” “authors archive”, etc. which can be choosen when enabling dynamic data…. Where do I find all these things? ….
“By default WordPress comes with a few different post types which are all stored in the database under the wp_posts table”
Maybe finding this database could bring me closer to understand?February 15, 2023 at 8:38 am #2534382David
StaffCustomer SupportOk. In that case, if you view the sites in our Library:
https://generatepress.com/site-library/
Are there any particular designs that suit your requirements ?
If there is, it may be easiest to install one of those, and then we can explain how to make changes to it.
Would that be a good path to follow ?
