    Hello,

I’d like to give someone a copy of my entire site for them to import and use right away, including all settings, pages, posts, plugins, images, and everything else.

I have 2 questions relating to this:

    1) I understand GeneratePress import/export is only for the theme settings, so what kind of plugin would be required to include everything? Any suggestions?

    2) Is it possible to remove my GP license code temporarily, run the export, and then put the license code back in?

I realise this is a tad outside of GP-support, so if you can’t help with this, I completely understand.

    Hi there,

There’s some plugins that make this super easy. Here’s a couple of them:
    https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
    https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

You can remove your license key before exporting, then just re-add once it’s imported.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Thanks Tom!

Will the theme still function, including the GP Premium modules, while the license key is removed? Will they be able to make changes in the customizer?

All the license key does is give you access to updates through the Dashboard. Functionality of the theme won’t change at all without it.

    Glad I could help!

    Ok understood.

One last thing: Am I ok to give out an installation of WP with GP Premium already installed (no license key)?

I ask because I want the person receiving to have all my GP premium settings, but allow them to input their own license key assuming they wish to keep it updated. (But of course, I can’t force them to do that)

Clarity on the legal stuff here would be great.

No problem with that – just mention to them they’ll need to purchase their own license. It’s important to stay up to date.
