I had the excerpts checked in the customizer, but they are not showing up on the homepage.. Thanks

Go to Customize > Additional CSS, and remove this code:

.entry-summary p:not(.read-more-container) {
                display: none;
            }

Thank you so much, it worked. Btw. how can I possibly place the excerpt on the right side of the image..[only for the first article that shows up on the homepage] And also to align that excerpt properly next to the image both on desktop and mobile [at times the alignment seems a bit off when I try to place the excerpt next to the image. The title of the article and a link to my website are in the private info field. Thank you.

Well, you can use a Block Element – Content Template, and apply it only to the first post.

Thanks but I did not see any changes to the first post at the top of the homepage after I made alterations using the block element…

Hi Liza,

Have you applied the Display rule location? Try setting it to front page.
