Excerpt word count is not reflected.

Can you check if you’re using the Excerpt field in your Post settings?

The excerpt count only works for excerpts automatically generated from your content.

If you added an excerpt manually, the entire excerpt would display.

I didn't use the Excerpt field.

Are you using more tags? More tags can also be a reason as to why the Excerpt word count isn’t working.

Moreover, to test for any plugin conflict, can you also try deactivating other plugins temporarily and see if this will resolve the issue?
