Excerpt - Problem with gallery and lenght

Hi,
I set excerpt lenght "5" to test something. And as you can see "private message" the first archive article shows me a lenght of 5, the other ons are longer or shorter or show me gallery. Can you help you on how to handle this.
For the gallerys maybe there is a solution to cut excerptions if it beginns with [ngallery ...
But why also the lenght is wrong?
Hi there,
you have the Format set to Image on those posts ( option in the Post editor sidebar ), change the Format to Standard and WP will display only the excerpt.
That was the trick :) I spent to much time with wordpress and forgot simple settings :)
