Excerpt isn't showing for my Wordpress blog even after buying the premium

Hello there, I have recently purchased a generatepress premium to replace my older theme. However, I am facing a problem with the homepage.
All the posts (full length) are showing on my homepage instead of post excerpts. I have tried to change it by the Generatepress excerpt option but it isn't working. I also have tried the WordPress inbuild option from Setting> reading> excerpt but still, it isn't working.
Is there any solution for that?
