WordPress strips all HTML in excerpt unless you are using the more tag.

It's either that or a plugin conflict.

This is happening because you've set the Post Format of the posts to something other than "Standard". Other post formats will show the entire post as they need to include HTML, which the excerpt strips.

If you switch the formats to standard, it should begin to work.
