This happens to me every single time I update, too. I have entered, removed, saved, re-entered, saved and tried to update and nothing.
What is the real roadblock here. It’s a site that I’ve had up for a while.
Is there something I can add to my functions or other files to permanently recognize the legitimate installation of the plugin (since my license number was already there and saved)? 🙁
I don’t develop the licensing system, but from what I can tell that error is only pushed when the URL that was registered when the license key was activated doesn’t match the URL requesting the update.
There’s no way to bypass it, the check is there for security purposes.
If your URL isn’t changing (localhost to live, HTTP to HTTPS etc..) then it might be something on your server stopping it. Never heard of someone continually getting the message without the URL changing.
