Enable 301 .htaccess redirect

Hi!
I got a notification in my settings about Enable 301 .htaccess redirect, and with that notification it comes a warning: Before you enable this, make sure you know how to regain access to your site in case of a redirect loop.
What should I do? Is it important to make this: Enable 301 .htaccess redirect? Or is it better to dismiss, because I don't know how to regain access?
Thank you!
Hi there,
are you using an SSL Plugin ?
Hi David!
Yes, I am using Really Simple SSL-plugin.
I found this in the plugin's support forum:

They should be able to help if you have further questions :)
