Embedded videos change to just urls

I have embedded videos in several columns using the columns block (gutenberg blocks) on a page dedicated to videos. After completing the changes on the page and saving the changes it works fine. The videos show well on a PC and scale properly for a phone too. However as soon as I edit a different page, all the embedded videos are replaced with the text of the URL. How can I stop this happening?

thats odd ... GP doesn't control how the Video Embed block works - neither would it interfere with changes made to the page content.
How are you adding the Videos ? Is it with the YouTube Video block ?
What happens if the Video Block is added directly to the page content and not inside a column?
