[REMOVED BY ADMIN]
I am receiving premium updates and have updated to the latest and greatest generatepress version. Elements did not update to Elements blocks. Can that be upgraded to blocks? If you update Elements will it affect the existing banners?
I’m needing to add video a background with text and logo to the site header and found that I can achieve this relatively easy with the new version of Elements blocks.
I do need assitance aligning the video to the top of the page behind the header. Video Elements block test.
[REMOVED BY ADMIN]I could not get the following code to work correctly for Stonelodge Dental.
<video loop muted autoplay poster=”https://www.menuhoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/new.jpg” class=”background-video”>
<source src=”https://www.menuhoodie.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Main_Prida.mp4″ type=”video/mp4″>
</video>Welcome to Stonelodge DentalI have several sites that have the legacy Elements and need to get them updated also. Let me know how to do that.

It’s because you have classic editor plugin activated, you’ll need to deactivate this plugin to use block elements.
If you update Elements will it affect the existing banners?
I don’t think so.

This video demonstrated how to do so: https://youtu.be/TP8mgBQTgGg

Hi Tim,
To begin with, here is an overview of the Block Element: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/
Moreover, here is one sample video wherein our colleague shows how to implement a Block Element: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6wHd83DfDI
Furthermore, here is a visual guide you may refer to as to where some hooks are located: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-visual-guide/
With these said, here is a setup you can try to make a Block Element appear at the top of a page at full width:
See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruG2Ryg
Also see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/2Nuv4O7z
As shown, the parent container and its inner container which would hold all other blocks is set to full width.
Hope this helps! 🙂

I’m running premium and not seeing the options in elements that are displayed in your video. Effects is what I’m needing and am unable to locate.

StaffCustomer SupportHi Tim,
I’ve checked your site to see if the features have any issues and they seem to be intact.
Here’s a screenshot of a Block Element’s UI on your site
https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOu9G2oNThe screenshot shows Gutenberg, the display rule metabox displays and the blocks on the left hand side are visible and usable.
The right sidebar for the Block element type and/or the hook option is intact as well.
Can you specify the specific “effects” your pertaining to?
If its the “Effects” tab on your GB Container block, it’s not available with free version of GenerateBlocks. It’s a feature of GenerateBlocks Pro version. 🙂
