Element Display Rules: no option for ALL tags

Hello,

sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it: it appears that there is no "Display Rule" to use an Element on ALL tags.

I have just created a custom field for my "Plant Portraits" CPT to add the common name -- adding it with the "Blocks" Element was a breeze and I'm super happy with how easy that is now! But it seems like there's no Display Rule that would allow me to use the Element on the tag Archives.

Examples:

Plant Portraits Archive, all posts: https://www.alex-kunz.com/plant/ ("common name" appears under title, that's my custom field for the CPT)

Plant Portraits Category Archive: https://www.alex-kunz.com/plant_category/flowers-herbs/ (common name appears under title, Display Rule condition "Category Archive -> All Categories")

Plant Portraits Tag Archive: https://www.alex-kunz.com/plant_tag/fabaceae/ (can't get the common name to show because there's no Display Rule for ALL tags -- I'd have to set a rule for each tag?)

Thanks for your help
Alexander.

Hello Ying,

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough. The dynamic fields work just fine for my purpose (see links above) with my CPT and CPT taxonomies. My problem is only the display rules.

Please take a look at this screenshot:

You can see that for "Plant Portrait Plant Category Archive" I have the option to select "All Categories".

But for "Plant Portrait Plant Tag Archive", there is no "All Tags" option (it says "Choose..." in the screenshot and when I click on that, the list of all my tags opens).

For example, Garden is one of my custom post types, as you can see it has categories/tags.

Can you check if you have the tags showing here? If not, there won't be all tags option under location.

Yes, I do have separate taxonomies for my CPT enabled.

Would you please be so kind to carefully read my very first message again? I linked to my CPT's "plant_tag" archive there, already. Or just click on the link and take a look, on my site.

For what it's worth, I double checked with the standard Wordpress posts (no CPT), and an "All Tags" option isn't available for the default tags in WordPress, either. (at least not on my site)

Thanks
Alexander.

Tag archive should be there normally, could you provide credentials with access to the admin so we can take a look at the backend?

You can use the private info field, thanks :)

I don't think that's necessary -- if you would just look at the screenshot of the display rules, please? The tag archive is there, YES!

But there is no option to select "All Tags". The "All" option is only available for the CATEGORIES.

I'm sorry that I can't make it any clearer. I can only select ONE SINGLE TAG and that would mean I have to add about 60 individual display rules, one for each tag.

If that's a limitation of GeneratePress, fine. Could you please double check with Tom?

Alexander.

The answer is in your screenshot. I mistakenly used "Plant Tag" instead of "Plant Tag Archive". Duh! I'm so sorry.

Once I switched it to *archive* the option for "All Tags" is indeed there.

Thanks for your help
Alexander.

Glad to hear that :)
