    Hello,

I have some posts and pages I want to import to a brand-new website which has a fresh install of GPP and GBPro. I do not have the ‘Classic Editor’ plugin installed on the new website, nor do I intend to install it.

Will these posts be automatically formatted as blocks – if that’s the right concept (I’m ignorant of much tech) please? And will the import create formatting problems?

Would I be better to import them, but use copy and paste to create new versions of the same pages/posts using the block editor tools within GPP and GBPro? Then deleting the imported posts/pages, and their code, as I go?

My aim is to avoid later hassles and to future proof what I am doing so I do not need to revisit it.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

That’s good. Classic editor is a pain to work with especially knowing there’s GenerateBlocks that works w/ Gutenberg. 🙂

You can open the content with the Block editor and some basic contents, like the basic texts, will automatically be turned into “Paragraph Blocks” but not everything will change smoothly.

Some may actually require manual change especially if you’ve been inserting shortcodes on the classic editor text area.
