[Resolved] Edit link and top admin bars missing

When logged in, there is no black Admin bar at the top of the page, where normally there is a link to the Customizer and to add or edit the current page. Barring that I expect to find an “Edit” link someplace on the page so I get directly to the edit post screen.
Neither shows.
I turned off all plugins.. still no option
I turned on a default theme.. everything where it belongs.

What am I doing wrong? Or how do I find the right stuff?

WP: 5.3.2
GeneratePress 2.4.1 with a child theme

That’s odd – we haven’t had this reported.

What happens if you activate the parent theme and disable GP Premium plugin?

Thanks.. just figured it out moments ago.
Everything was fine.. but I’d added some testing code to functions.php that screwed stuff up. So the answer is … Not only look for what you can’t see.. but also for what you CAN see.
