    Hello,

I’m getting ready to convert my site from Beaver Builder to Blocks and have a question before diving in.

My portfolio items are built using PODS (custom fields) and Beaver Themer.

I believe with the new dynamic functions in Generate Press, I can built out and assign a template to this CPT using the custom field names:

    Is that right?

    Thank you, Yael

    Hi there,

See the Dynamic Data options here:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/dynamic-data/

The Post Meta is the dynamic text type you would use.
Which is also available under Type in the GP Dynamic Image Block:

    You’re welcome
Let us know how you get on – so good to hear GP being used for these kinds of projects 🙂

    Hi David,

yea, I am totally enjoying converting my site to blocks and exploring the dynamic options.

I do have an additional question though : when I create the block > content template for my portfolio archives, I only see posts, not custom post types. I was hoping to be able to recreate the archives and a single template applied to my custom post type, portfolio.

Now I’m not sure that is possible.

    Can you clarify?

    Thank you, Yael

Nothing like a shower to clear the cobwebs 🙂

Apply to all posts, then use the display rule to target only Portfolio.
