[Resolved] Dynamic link and comment count for pages

Hi I’m in the process of migrating my website to GP and testing out GP Premium 2.0.0-alpha.2 with GB

Referencing the video where Leo shows how to add a dynamic comment link and count for Posts.

Is it possible to show a dynamic comment link and count for Pages as well?

Pages don’t by default have Comments neither do they appear in the Blog ( or archives ).

So how are you adding comments links and including the pages in the blog ?

Hi David, the website has no blog posts and comprises of articles and reviews pages only. Comments are allowed on these pages and are fairly active.

Looking for a way to dynamically indicate the comment count for each of the article pages.

That URL you provided isn’t using GeneratePress ?

That is correct. It was just an example showing that the comments are on pages and not posts.

So can I dynamically show comment counts from a page?

I haven’t tested that but i cannot see any reason why it would not work.

When I look at the documentation I don’t see how I can reference a page (I only see options for Post). Is this functionality part of GB Pro?

Hi Ali,

You just need to set page > the specific page in display rules as the element’s location.
