this is staging site, go on the home page and click on any of my posts on the home page and you'll see that the featured image does not change, even though i want it removed completely.

The link requires a username and password.

Can you provide it as well?

If you want to remove the background image, select the container, and remove the background from the tool bar on the right side > backgrounds.
