Carlos
Hi,
I’m using Generatepress + Elementor Pro and I have a problem with the text that show on their grid of posts. When I create a post, I always disable ‘Content title’. It’s shows OK on the page of the post, but in the grid of cards (all the posts), it always show Title and below Title again + content
How can I hide the duplicate title on that grid ?
Thanks for your help!GeneratePress 1.3.48June 16, 2017 at 8:41 am #334505Leo

StaffCustomer SupportHi Carlos, Looking at the site code i can see that you have used Elementor to create the ‘Content title’ on each of your posts. Is that correct?
If so this is where the problem lies – the Elementor Post Widget takes it excerpt from the top of the content which would include your Title. Try removing one of your Elementor created Content titles and you will see the result.
I suggest you either enable the Content Title, or you could try Press Elements Plugin
Press elements adds additional widgets to Elementor including ‘Post Title’ which displays just the Title you enter in the WordPress editor. You could then make a Elementor template to include just the Press Elements Post Title and then use GP hooks to place the template above the content area hopefully eliminating the problem.Hope this helps
David

StaffCustomer SupportHi Leo, if you read the first line of the Excerpt it is the same as the Title. Which is not the case when you go to the post. Another Elementor bug…..

Hi David,
finally I get it using that plugin.
With the option ‘Excerpt’ now I can write the extract and remove the title there.
Thanks for helping! it works!June 16, 2017 at 11:34 am #334601Leo

StaffCustomer SupportI’m still learning, and this support forum has been the basis of that – always learn from the mistakes of others! And the more i get into using GP the less and less i feel inclined to use Elementor, for all its great stuff it just messes up the fundamentals……
