Duplicated featured image on author pages

All the featured images are displayed twice on the author archive pages. If I disable featured image to be displayed on the blog settings for archives, it is displayed only once on the author page but does not show up at all on the other archive pages (e.g. category archives). Thus I assume that it might have to do with one of the other author plugins I use (Guest Author Name Premium, Meks Smart Author Widget).

Meanwhile I was able to solve this issue thanks to the support of the Guest Author plugin developer.
