Duplicate category archive pages
1 reply · Started by Anton on December 6, 2021
Hi there,
It looks like I may have duplicate content on my site due to the way category archive pages are set up. I have the default archive pages on my blog, then the category archive pages which are /category/widgets, but then also category/widgets/page/1, category/widgets/page/2, etc.
Could this be causing duplicate content issues with Google, and is there a way to not have multiple category archive pages that duplicate the default one?
Thank you!
Hi there,
i am no SEO Expert - but Yoast used to have a noindex subpages option to avoid duplicate content but they removed it - read here:
https://yoast.com/yoast-seo-6-3/
They do provide a filter to noindex them if you so wish - this support topic reply provides the link to the PHP Snippet:
