I am using GeneratePress theme and my drop down menus in the navigation field are not working properly. When the page loads the first drop down menu I hover my house over works properly but all others I hover over afterwards do not. I have to refresh the page to get another drop down menu to work and the process just repeats. My website is being built at http://1c6.fc6.myftpupload.com/ . Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Can you disable all non-GP plugins and see if the issue persists?

If not, enable each plugin one by one until the problem shows up again?

I’m pretty sure this must be some bad code in some other plugin.

    Let me know 🙂

    Tom,

It seems to be the background slider that is causing the conflict with the drop down menus. I am using the Responsive Full Width Background Slider plugin. Do you have a suggestion as to which background slider program I should use that will not cause a conflict with GeneratePress because I really would like to use it on my site?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Seems to be happening with Genesis as well: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/genesis-dropdown-menu-conflict?replies=3

It’s a suckerfish menu issue, which is an extremely popular script for dropdown menus: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/suckerfishjs-menu-seems-to-conflict?replies=1

Hopefully the plugin author reads though his support threads and fixes this, as it will definitely cause issues with a lot of themes out there.

I’m not sure of any other plugins, but if you search around I’m sure there’s alternatives.
