[Support request] Downloading Word Documents

Hi,

When I upload a word document to the media library and insert the url as I would for a pdf into say a post or a page nothing happens when it is clicked. The file neither opens or downloads. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there,

GP (or any themes) doesn’t handle this kind of things as it’s from WordPress.

I’d assume the media library doesn’t support Word documents?

Perhaps a plugin like this would help:
