    Hello,

I have websites where the article is being double posted on the same URL.
The first article is correct, but the second article that is the same should not be published.

Using the latest version of Theme and GD premium.

NB: When I change the free WordPress theme the issue doesn’t appear.

    Hi there,

The theme has absolutely no control over issues like this one.

Can you disable all plugins including GP Premium to test?

Make sure to disable any custom functions you might be using as well.

    Let me know 🙂

    Hi Leo,

I have disabled all plugins and the issue is still the same.

Just strange. When I switch to a free WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-two for a test, the problem isn’t there.

Hmm looks like you are using Twenty Twenty currently and the issue is still there?

When I switch to Twenty Twenty the issue is gone. When I enable GeneratePress again it will show the issue on the post.
    Diasble all plugin didn’t help.

I noticed that the duplicated post isn’t exactly the same – the second one is missing the YouTube video.

This really cannot be a theme issue – we have not received any other reports on this.
It’s also strange that it’s only happening in a few posts.

Is this a live site with traffic?

If so can you start a staging site with the issue duplicated and let us take a closer look?

This is already a staging site, so if you can see what causes it, would be really helpful. Even if I didn’t have the YouTube videos on the post it will still be the same.

Is this issue only happening to the two linked posts?

What happens if you recreate them?

This is happening to all posts in category BT2 on the website.

When I delete all posts in category BT2 and generate them again, the issue is still the same. Also, if I create a new category example BT4.

Did you create the problematic posts twice and edit the slug manually so they are exactly the same.

If so that would be the issue.

For example, these two posts have the exact same slug:

    https://www.screencast.com/t/E4TXVuM041CD

No I haven’t change the slug, it is the same on all posts.

The slug would need to be different.

Did you use a plugin to duplicate those posts?

If so that might have been the issue.

“For example, these two posts have the exact same slug:
    09.21.2022-11.39.22
    https://www.screencast.com/t/E4TXVuM041CD”

If you try to enable Tweenty Tweenty theme you will see this dosen’t show.

Can you try using the Plain permalink setting?

I believe it would fix the issue.
