Dots showing in blog archive page when excerpt is set to zero

Hi,

Is there a way to avoid the 3 dots showing in the blog archive page when the excerpt length is set to zero?

To be clear:

a) This is what I am doing:
Via Customizer I am setting the excerpt length to zero BUT I am showing the Read More (as a button)

b) This is what I get
Excerpt is not shown but there are the 3 dots above the Read More button

c) This is what I was expecting to get:
I was expecting only the Read More button to show, without the dots above it.
