Does elementor slow down page speed

We use generate press and one of the build-in themes, will installing elementor slow down the website?

Hi there,
Yes, like any page builder its going to add a lot more code to your site.
If used carefully, and with correct optimization plugins you can make it faster.
But page builders in general add much more code to your site then using say the Block Editor and GenerateBlocks.
