Do I need Kraken for GP premium or can it do all of the same things without it

I am asking because the hosting site I am on has Kraken installed... if GP premium does all of the same things then I will deactivate it.
Sorry I am a total newbie. I did search through the documents and other posts before I asked. And also did a google search and youtube ..

if thats the Image Optimizer then NO GeneratePress does not provide that function.
As a note - if you're are going to be 100% responsible for your sites content then you may want to just read up on optimizing Images for the web. This may mean you don't require a paid for image optimizer to achieve the same results :)
