displaying galleries-- any ideas on how to do something like this with GP?

I really like how this site

transitions between a grid view and a slideshow view -- without a lightbox. Are these plugins that can help me do this in wp?

Unfortunately I'm not aware of a plugin like this. Looks like it's a custom built solution.
