[Resolved] Display Social Media Icons Instead of Text

I created a socialMenu (contains my social media links) and inserted it into the Top Bar widget. It currently displays text (ie Facebook, Instagram, etc) but I prefer to see icons instead. Is this possible?

You can either use Tom’s Lightweight Social Icons plugin:

Or GP’s built in FontAwesome library:
http://fontawesome.io/icons/

Got it thanx! I with Tom’s lightweight plugin. I guess it’s referred to as ‘lightweight’ given the icons are not the official coloured version?

I think lightweight just means it’s fast and simple 🙂

The icon color would be the Text Color.

What I meant was displaying an image of the actual logo (ie blue Facebook f, baby blue Twitter bird, etc).

Hmm you can basically get it the same if you change the Text Color to white and background color to Facebook blue.

If that’s not good enough then you would have to find the actual icon and insert them as image + link.
