"Display Post Navigation" option not showing anything

I can't seem to figure out why nothing shows up on my posts when I have the "Display post Navigation" enabled in the customizer. I have Generatepress updated to 2.4.2

Hmm I guess I've been testing it on both the blog, which I only have one, and on Galleries -- a custom post type. Is it not going to work custom types?
