Disconfigured when update theme to GP 2.0

You don´t see any issue because Generate press was not updated.

Can you try clearing your caching plugin(s)?

If not looks like you are using a plugin for the header widget? If so might be worth to check with their support.

I'm not seeing the problem in footer widgets. What am I missing?

Compare the staging site which the theme is update with the main site which it is not.

The only difference I see from the screenshot and your actual site is that the widget titles colors are changed?

Is that what you are referring to?
