Disable post archives image linking to post

Hi. I only want the title to be the link to the blog post, is there a way to disable the link on the featured image that’s shown in the archives?

Would a CSS solution work or would you like to remove the HTML link markup as well?

Yeah I just want to completely remove the link.

I’m surprised that’s not a standard option in wp

I think I’ve done it in the past using a code snippet

Ive figured this out. It was a content template element. I just changed the dynamic image to not to link to anything 💪
