Hi there,

your date and author name are being displayed using a Header Element, which those settings do not apply to:

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/

Go to Appearance > Elements and edit the Header Element located on your Single Posts. And remove the {{post_date}} and {{post_author}} tags
