I am facing a perplexing issue with a content template element. I have it set to display on for a custom post type (Presenter) with a certain taxonomy term (2022). But when I view an individual presenter (see here: https://albertacampmeeting.ca/presenters/emmanuel-vedoya/), it is showing content in other formats above the section where the content is displayed according to the element I have set. Why is content being displayed above when I have the element set for that post? Shouldn’t the element replace any other content?

In addition, the element is displaying at the bottom of another post type (events) – see https://albertacampmeeting.ca/events/alter-teen-youth-meeting-sunday-evening/. The event post type has its own element for the display on that single post, but this problematic element is being added below the other element display. What is going on with this?

Okay, I figured out part of the issue. I had another presenter element that I apparently created a number of months ago. Once I trashed that, the presenter page is looking okay. But I still had the issue of my new content template element showing up at the bottom of the event single posts. I got rid of it by excluding all events. But I’m not sure why I am having to do that. Shouldn’t it only show up on the items included? Why am I having to exclude something that is not included?

    Hi Brent,

Yes, you’re correct, displaying a Content Template on a single post should replace the Content of the Post, and you shouldn’t have to exclude something that isn’t included in the display rules location. However, as is, it seems that there are 2 Content Templates displayed in both posts.

While viewing the post, can you hover on Elements in the admin bar, and check which Content Templates are displayed?: https://share.getcloudapp.com/BluGdlJD

Check if their display rules location are set properly.

Kindly let us know how it goes.
