different product title

Hello,
I would like to display different product title on product page and different on category page. I have found such php code:

which I have inserted via plugin: code snippet but it doesn't work. On the prodyct card admin page new option has been added (new title) but even if I fill it, it doesn't save and nothing happens.
Could you please help. What could I do wrong?

this is outside the scope of our support - but if you can share a link to your shop archive then i am happy to take a look to see if there is anything obviously wrong with using that code.
