Different menu per page

Hi Tom, do you have a good solution to use a different sidebar menu on different pages?

I have the same question and was delighted to find this posting.... until I followed the links to those two plugins and found that neither of them actually answers the question. Both deal with menu *items*, not menus. The second one is closer than the first, in that it at least discriminates based on page, as in the given question. But still: menu items, not menus.
Sigh.
It should work the same though just a bit extra work.
