Different home hero for page

It seems pretty straightforward to switch home heroes for a page, but I cannot get it to work. I have two elements, one for English, and one for Spanish, with the same background image, but different text. I'va also created two home pages, Home and Home-sp. I've set the English version to display on Front Page, and the Spanish version to display on Home-sp (the Spanish version of the home page). Switching to Spanish works fine for the content, including the menu, but the hero image stays English. Do I need to switch to a cover image for each page instead? Page is at: https://fob.it4causeshosting.org/. You'll see a dropdown to switch languages.
And a scrrenshot to show the elements: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10aMkBCIs2QEi0x0g2oV9i3OC89kFTGtQ/view?usp=sharing
Hi there,
are you using a plugin for the Translation ? e.g WPML or Polylang ?
No. We're avoiding that because we don't want an AI translation. Every post and page has an English/Spanish version. We are using Conditional Menus to make the menu change.
Ok, just for the record both those plugins don't just offer auto translations, they allow manual translating as well. And what they do do is to manage the permalink structures so once a language is selected it will do the rest for you...
.... back on topic, if you're using static pages then you should have no issues swapping the hero.
Can you share a screenshot of the Block Element and its Display Rules so i can see how its set up ?
That google link requires an access password - could you change it so thats not required ?
I think I figured it out-I had an extra element that was overriding everything. Thanks for looking at it, but you can ignore this question.
Glad to hear you found the issue!
