Design Help Needed

Hi,

With a few simple tweaks, you should be able to do this with WP Show Posts.

WP Show Posts has a shortcode feature which you can place anywhere on the site(in this case, sidebar).

You can set the WPSP list in a way where it displays the title, excerpt and read more button only. You can then style it w/ CSS to achieve the same layout/colors.

Between, how to achieve the "welcome" block?

Is something like the “Welcome” block on the right sidebar achievable in generatepress with generateblocks?

before we go further on WPSP, can you explain how you'd like the "Welcome" sidebar to work?

Do you want it to lead the visitors to some sort of a "Welcome" page? Or is it suppose to function as a "recent post" sidebar?

if the Welcome Block were to be placed at the Top of the Sidebar then yes. You would use a Block Element to create your Welcome Block:

Select the Hook: generate_before_right_sidebar_content to display it at the top of the sidebar.
