Our website needforgaming.com has been de-index from Bing and reason is website design.

Here is the message from bing webmaster team.

"I would request you to please re-design the site by following the webmaster guidelines. Once the site is re-designed as per the Webmaster guidelines, please allow sometime for the Bingbots that is 1 to 2 months so that the Bingbot can crawl your site and start indexing your site on the Bing search results. This is to give webmaster a chance to make changes on their site and also to ensure that these changes will be lasting."

Have you checked our website theme design? Is it ok from your end?

The site looks fine to me. The 'design' i do not believe is a problem - its just bad wording from Bing.
You need to work through the guidelines. Its more likely related to site indexing or robots.txt being blocked.

Ok, thanks, we will check the guidelines again. While any suggestion from you if you check our pages little bit.

Theres nothing i can see that stands out as a guideline issue. I would begin by making sure the Sitemap has been submitted.

Landed here from a search result at https://moz.com/community/q/topic/70184/why-has-my-website-been-removed-from-bing where someone noticed several of their GeneratePress sites were delisted.

I have a similar situation where after switching my site to GeneratePress in October it vanished off Bing (and DuckDuckGo since they share indexes). Google is fine. Bing Webmaster Tools says the URLs have an error, but the Live URL reports as being just fine. Whatever it's problem is it occurs when the actual Bing Bot hits the page.

I have no idea what could possibly be causing that, but I feel like there's some smoke to this fire.

Hi Justin,

really tricky one to answer this - All i can say is GP is installed on over 500,000 ( known to WP ) websites. I think if there were an inherent issue with Theme then we would be inundated with topics relating to the matter.

Problem is - search engine providers are not very forthcoming with information that explains their testing processes or algorithms so unless someone can say it has failed for X reason it makes it impossible to say what could be the cause.

If you want to raise a new topic where you can use the Private Information field to share a link to your site we can take a look to see if anything stands out.

Hi, David, hello, Justin, I am using GP since mid-2021 and after two months of GP, my website "https://needforgaming.com/" has been removed from both bing as well as Yahoo. Now the interesting thing is my friend's website also uses the same theme and his website was also removed from Bing and Yahoo on the same day. This Day was 12 November 2021.

Websites list that I know, which are not on bing using GP Premium Theme:
1. https://needforgaming.com/
2. https://Codesforgaming.com/
3. https://roblocodes.com/
4. https://www.provaat.com/
5. https://myfreshgists.com/
6. https://apkperfect.com/

You need to fix our problem David otherwise refund us all.

I am sorry your experiencing issues and i can assure you; if we knew the cause of your problem then we would do whatever we can to assist. But there is no evidence the issues are related to the Theme - if it were a theme issue as i stated above we would be receiving a lot of support topics relating to it.

Have you tried contacing bings webmaster support to get some info on what the issue is?

We contact bings webmaster support team and they said, please redesign your website as per the guidelines. I am using the simple layout in GP and no extra design. I contact them twice and they said the same thing "redesign your website". Now you design my website and I will see what the support team will say. I will give you my user name and password to design my website.

They never share more information and my robots.txt and other things are all ok. No problem David I have to move to my old WordPress theme.

I'm guessing I'm not going to get much feedback beyond a form "check our guidelines" from Bing, too. But I wonder if we can't trace this to something else.

I have other sites running GP and they're fine. The difference in my de-listed site is I actually submitted it to Bing (my others I just let it crawl when it crawls).

I'm also using RankMath, but I do that on every site.

What versions of GP are you running? Maybe there's a bug in a version? I just updated my primary site. I have others on other versions, so that's not exactly a strategic guess.
