This is the notification that I get when I check my site speed. I have checked all my plugins and can’t see what could be causing this error. I’ve spoken with Technical support at Wealthy Affiliate where I am hosted and they say they can’t help me with this and I need to talk to my theme designer.

Could you please advise me on how to fix Defer offscreen images?

    Thankyou

    Lily

    Hi there,

I’m not sure how this would be a theme issue as the theme doesn’t add any images by default.

Do you get the issue with all plugins disabled?

What if you try a twenty series WP theme?

No I still get this problem. I’ve deactivated all my plugins and checked but I still get this comment.

Don’t worry I will continue to try and fix it myself.

    Thanks for your time.

To defer offscreen images you can use a free plugin like Smush.

    Thanks Oisin for sharing.
There are many plugins that provide Lazy Load options – which defer loading of images. You will also find this option included in cache and optimization plugins like Autoptomize
