Default font changes by itself

Hi guys,

Since the time we installed Generatepress the default font when someone loads our post page or homepage was Arial, and then the custom font file (which we host locally) loads right after. However since the last few days, we are noticing 'Times New Roman' font loading before our locally hosted font file loads.

We have 2 sites that use Generatepress - and we can clearly see that on the other site the default font is still Arial - so we ruled out the possibility of Generatepress theme updates or file changes.

We have also not changed any settings (like Appearance -> Customize). Could you please check and tell us what is causing Times New Roman font to load by default instead of Arial all of a sudden?

We had installed the Author Box plugin which was recommended here on the first site, but we deleted it soon after, and the situation with the font is the same - we don't think the Author Box plugin could have caused this issue, but this is FYI.

Hi there,

Not really sure what we can do to help here as it's not a theme/GP issue.

Have you tried disabling all plugins to test and see if there are any unknown conflicts?

Hi Leo, the only change we made was to install the author box plugin, rest is the same. We are quite puzzled by this.

Why do you feel Times New Roman is loading instead of Arial? What is your hunch?

Unfortunately I don't have a hunch for this.

Just checked the Electric Vehicle page and not seeing Times New Roman either.

It's probably worth trying to keep all plugins disabled except GP Premium and Author Box plugin and see if there are other unknown conflicts.
