Default Font and fault styles?

Hi all, new to GeneratePress :)

I am trying to figure out the way the Typography settings work.

I have selected what I want to use as my default font, that being Merriweather Sans with variants 300, regular, 800, italic and a size of 16px

I then go to apply that font to the Typography Manager.

I have set the preferred weight to be 300 and the default size to be 16px.

I know I can set fonts and styles to specific elements like the menu, but I wish to have a single global font.

As I want this font to be used as the default global typography and style everywhere, I tried selecting the HTML element, but this does not change the site's font to what I have selected, it retains the default.

If I change the element to Body the font and style are applied, but it is not applied to other elements such as the menu, e.g. font -size

Is there a way I can set the font and style to be used as a global font and style for the entire website. I can then if needed edit specific elements if I need to later

No, only for body.

However, it would appear to be an issue only when I use the Merriweather Sans font. Switching to Open Sans fixes this, which will be suitable for my needs

Thanks

You’re welcome Sneaky! Glad it’s working now. :)
