I’m using the Capital website and when I make a change to a blog post it reflects the new change date not the original published date. How can I get the original published date to show?

    Thanks

    Hi Justin,

Kindly go to Appearance > Elements and edit “Blog Layout”. Then, toggle off “Replace with updated date” in the dynamic settings of the Headline Block used for the date.

    See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/L1uX5xlW

Do the same for “Single Post Hero” Element: https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8uQdjzX

    Hope this helps! 🙂

Thanks for that. Is there a way I can make this change with the theme so it automatically updates all posts?

    Thanks

Ignore my previous message, the Single Post Hero change seems to have solved it!

    Thanks

Changing those should reflect on all posts. Are there any other Posts/dates that weren’t affected?

If so, can you provide the link to the page where this can be located, and I’ll see how to change them as well?

You may use the private information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
