Customizing style of sidebars/widgets

I cant seem to style the sidebar widgets other than changing the font and hyperlink colors. Is there any more customization options for this or do you need to use CSS?

Style them separate from the main body?
We will need CSS for that. Let me know if you need help with certain element :)
