Customizing Colours Working Until Published Then Won't Show

I've been customzing the colour schme of the site and it's showing that it's working in the preview but once published it will not show.
I want the text that I've highlighted in the red boxes to be YELLOW and in the preview it IS yellow but as soon as I save it and check the live site - it's no longer yellow!
I've cleared chache and tried every setting possible and I cannot figure this out. #

You can use the private info field for this.

So, how do I resolve this issue and change it to the colour I want?
Hi there,
when you go back to the Customizer - do you see the changes you made ?
if so, can you make sure that your Publish the customizer and not Save Changes.
When I go back to the Customizer the text I changed and want to be yellow (i.e. the post headline) is no longer yellow.
Now I don't figure out how to change it back to yellow or to get it to actually stick because previously it would be yellow in the customizer but when saved and going to the live site the yellow would not be present.
And yes I was "publishing" not just "saving".
I think I've figured it out now using a different method, thanks.
So has the color stuck now ?
